It is written in Object-oriented PHP and has been ported to Java and ASP.NET technology. It uses various open standards technology such as XML and XSLT and provides several internationalization features, including UTF-8 support and multilingual content support. phoenixFx CMS™ runs on both UNIX and Microsoft Windows platforms and provides cross-DBMS connectivity to a wide range of SQL databases and access to other tabular data sources, such as spreadsheets or flat files.
